Members of the Christchurch LGBT community are planning a peaceful ‘Kiss-In' protest in response to security at a local bar asking two young women to leave when they kissed on the dance floor. Eighteen-year-olds Lynda Boyd and Steph Hansen were at The Grumpy Mole Saloon on their first date on Saturday 3rd February, when they were told to “get the f... out” after sharing a same-sex kiss. A passive peaceful ‘Kiss-In' protest in the bar is now being organised for this Friday 16th February.
