A popular K' Road drag cabaret bar is for sale – for a cool $1 million. Finale Restaurant and Cabaret opened in June 2003, providing a home for drag stars Felisha Pourgette, Davina Douche', Fonda Boyz, Kornesha Grace, and Coco Kayne, all ably assisted by boy dancer Macau. Now Finale has appeared on a New Zealand business for sale website – with the price listed at $1,000,000. “If we find a buyer prepared to pay the price we're looking for, we'd certainly sell,” says Finale's current owner Tuariki Delamere. “But we're also looking for business partners, as we would like to open Finales in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. But it takes money - so we've put together a proposal, looking for investors.” Delamere is proud of Finale's achievements over the last three years, but admits, “we made lots of mistakes and there were things we could have done better. We've learnt from those things. “We believe the market in Australia is much bigger. We've done a good job here but we know we can do a hell of a lot better the next time around.” Ref: GayNZ.com (m)
