7.00PM: NZAF board chair Simon Robb has moved to clarify statements he made about the public availability of submissions on its consitutional proposals. Robb now says he fully intends to make the content of the submissions available, but adds that there seemed little point in embarking on a fully-fledged consultation process while the Board's future hung in the balance. "It has always been our intention to have a process of consultation on the Consitution ready by October," he says. Two remits received by the Board calling for their resignations have put the entire process on hold until the question of the Board's future is resolved at the November 19 AGM. In spite of this, Robb says he has been working behind the scenes to assemble an independent working party which will consult on the submissions. He feels it is a representative group of gay men with a wide range of views, some of whom have been very critical of the board.
