Go Go GlamSlam boys wanted

Tue 16 Aug 2005 In: New Zealand Daily News

The organisers of Wellington's GlamSlam are on the hunt for some spunky go-go boys for their dance party on 17 September 2005. GlamSlam 2005 is Wellington's pride week celebrations organised by UniQ Victoria, the support group for Victoria's non-heterosexual students. GlamSlam has grown out of the annual on-campus pride week and is being extended to the wider community. UniQ Victoria President, Paul Brown says, "We're going all out with the dance party this year. We've dropped the 'Blatant' name as last year's didn't do very well and figured rebranding it would lose the stigma of Blatant. We also have a great team on board to ensure this one is a success. "This year we're gonna give Wellington the best queer dance party it's seen in years!" Reknowned Auckland DJ Karl Moser is coming to play and drag dynamo Pollyfilla is promising some jaw-dropping shows. "We were at Synergy and saw how well the Go-Go boys were received and decided we needed some too!" Paul says.
