Former AIDS Foundation executive director Kevin Hague has been named the new chief executive of the West Coast District Health Board. Hague left his role at the Foundation two years ago to take up the position of planning and funding manager for the Board. He was with the AIDS Foundation for ten years, five as executive director, and five as a research officer. He says he's looking forward to his new role. "This DHB is unique, it has challenges in delivering health services no other region faces, but the people here do a great job delivering a service this region can be proud of," he told the Westport News. Board chairman Gregor Coster said the board was delighted it had been able to appoint someone of Hague's calibre to the top position.
