11.15am: Long-time anti-gay morality crusader and conservative christian leader Graham Capill has been identified as being the prominent Christchurch man who has pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting a young girl. Capill is the former leader of the Christian Heritage Party and has admitted a representative charge of indecently assaulting a girl aged under twelve between 2001 and 2002.He has been remanded on bail until next month for sentencing. That date range includes the period when he was campaigning for the 2002 general election when he was particularly scornful of the Matrimonial Property Act which greatly benefited gays and lesbians.
