Wellington cruise yacht needs crew

Sat 22 Jan 2005 In: New Zealand Daily News

Would-be sailors with an interest in cruise yachting and time on their hands during the week are being asked to join the crew of the Spindrift of Nelson, which made an appearance at the UniQ/GAP gay day out at Scorching Bay in Wellington last Saturday. “I am looking for crew who would enjoy cruising on Wellington harbour occasionally, mostly on weekdays,” says skipper John Mayes. “I am especially looking for people who think they might be interested in sailing and willing to learn, no experience necessary.” Mayes says if there are enough people interested in learning in-depth about how to run a cruising yacht, there is the possibility of bigger trips out to the Marlborough Sounds, Nelson, Kapiti Island, and Tasman National Park.
