Fa'afafine makeover show in the works

Tue 19 Oct 2004 In: New Zealand Daily News

New Zealand could soon see it's own Queer Eye For The Straight Guy makeover show, but with a fa'afafine twist. Fashion designer and singer/songwriter Lindah E is currently in the process of filming a pilot for the new show. "It's still early days but the show's basically about fa'afafine giving makeovers. Doing it was a lot of fun," she says. "It's along the same lines as Queer Eye but it will be uniquely Kiwi. Just the way I like it." Lindah is featured in this week's NZ Woman's Weekly, in their Extraordinary Kiwis section, in which she talks about growing up, and her transition from Aaron to Lindah.
