Libertarianz condemn TV church march

Sat 21 Aug 2004 In: New Zealand Daily News

Brian Tamaki and his television church marches are the work of "mean-spirited ayatollahs", according to the Libertarianz Party. Leader Bernard Darnton says the party also unequivocably supports the right of Tamaki and supporters to express their views, but is not optimistic that the sentiment will be returned. Darnton also points out the irony of Tamaki "wanting to ban films, videos, magazines and books that have sexual and violent content ... except, of course, for the Bible!" "Leave peaceful adults alone. If they offend thee, then just go elsewhere!" is Darnton's advice for the marchers.
