Lesbian Presbyterian minister Margaret Mayman will be the star turn at a church service and discussion for gay Auckland Christians following the progress of the Civil Unions debate. The service, at 7.30pm this Sunday 22nd at inner-city St Matthews in the City church is being held under the auspices of the Christians for Civil Unions groups in Auckland and Wellington in conjunction with Auckland Community Church which meets regularly at St Matthews. “It's a chance to take part in an ecumenical service and to celebrate their diversity of our partnerships” says a spokesperson for the organisers. An added attraction will be the music of gospel choir Heaven Bent.
