Possible gay Ski Week at Whakapapa

Sat 31 Jul 2004 In: New Zealand Daily News

With gay ski Week set to take off in Queenstown, gay snowboard instructor Bob Williams is keen to start another up at Whakapapa. "Whether you are a beginner skier or mad shredder tuition will be provided throughout the week by fully qualified instructors in conjunction with Whakapapa snow school," says Williams. "An absolute beginner will be skiing or riding the whole mountain by the end of the week (and get a cheap season pass for this year or next year)." The week will start Sunday night and finish Friday afternoon, avoiding the weekend crowds. However, people will be able to join and leave anytime during the week, and need only go for a day if they so desire. It's all dependent on the amount of interest Williams receives. Dates are pencilled in between mid-August and early September. Williams can be contacted via email at bobwill@actrix.co.nzor on 021 254 8983.
