Beyer to speak at Uni-Q Waikato

Georgina Beyer will give the keynote address at Waikato University this Saturday at the national UniQ conference. The annual student conference is hosted this year by Askew, the University of Waikato's group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. The public is invited to Beyer's speech at 12.00 noon Saturday. It will be held at the University of Waikato in the Student Union Building, Gate 1, off Knighton Rd. Supporters of the conference include the New Zealand University Students' Association, the Waikato Students' Union, and the University of Waikato Cultural Committee. This year's UniQ conference focuses on the theme “Breaking Boundaries, Building Bridges.” Students and queer community leaders will be strengthening networks and discussing issues that face gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in New Zealand.
