AIDS wake-up call required for men

The gay male community needs a wake up call, says the AIDS Foundation. AIDS Foundation executive director Rachael Le Mesurier says infections are on the rise in New Zealand, mainly among men who have sex with men. The foundation is anxious to turn around perceptions in New Zealand that AIDS is a Third World disease. Global figures show five million new HIV infections this year, more than ever before.
