Second Ellis petition presented

Tue 7 Oct 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

Peter Ellis supporters were out in force yesterday at Canterbury University to witness the presentation of a second petition aiming to force an inquiry into the former creche worker's convictions. The new petition, presented by former creche worker Gaye Davidson to National MPs Don Brash and Katherine Rich, boasts 3000 signatures, including one of New Zealand's most famous victims of the justice system, Arthur Alan Thomas. Ellis and mother Lesley, herself accused of satanic ritual abuse in childrens' testimonies, were astounded at the high-profile support, which included former creche children and their parents. Some parents have been in touch with Ellis on behalf of their children who had asked to pass on their regards to their former carer.
