Stereotype show heads south

Sat 13 Sep 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

An Australian version of the surprise American hit TV show of the year, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, is to be made. The show features five gay “experts” in the areas of fashion, grooming, food/wine, culture and interior design given the task of making over a different slobbish heterosexual man each week. NBC Enterprises international sales director Leslie Jones said the US version will begin on Australian TV next month while work begins on producing the Australian version and finding hosts, and that there has been interest from NZ television in airing the Aussie show.
