Police visit gay bars in McNee inquiry

Mon 28 Jul 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

Police visited gay bars in Auckland over the weekend in the hunt for David McNee's killer, according to an NZPA report. A police spokeswoman said officers canvassed bars he was known to visit around the Karangahape Rd area, but would not say whether the visits provided any new information. Meanwhile, there have been around sixty reported sightings of McNee's car between the time it went missing on Monday morning and the time it was dumped in Albert Park on late Tuesday afternoon.
