Auckland Police are asking anyone who took photos in the Karangahape Road area between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning to contact them as they investigate a brutal attack on a young woman. The service station on the corner of Ponsonby and Karangahape roads where the victim was last seen on Saturday night. The unidentified woman was apparently abducted, possibly in a drugged state, and taken to a west Auckland quarry where she managed to escape her attacker. She was hospitalised with head injuries. Police are asking anyone who was taking photographs around the Karangahape Road area after the Pride Parade, between 10pm Saturday and 2.30am Sunday to contact them. They are hopeful of getting a fix on the victim's whereabouts during this period and possibly details of the offender's vehicle. It is possible people who continued celebrating after the parade in the K' Rd area or at the Proud Party just off K' Rd may have captured useful images. The contact number for the investigation is 021 191 4085
