The New Zealand AIDS Foundation will advertise for a new Executive Director within the next few weeks, to replace Kevin Hague whose resignation was officially announced Monday. NZAF Acting Chair Monica Briggs said that they were seeking a seamless handover for the position and were currently working on a job description for the replacement. "Building on the description that Kevin had, we'll be looking for someone with leadership skills, good management, very good relationship and communication skills, cross-cultural competency, financial management and planning skills, and someone with knowledge who can network within the gay community," Briggs told GayNZ.com. The new Executive Director's goals will be set in the form of a series of annual objectives, which have not yet been discussed. Current research on the state of AIDS in New Zealand will be examined and taken into account before the objectives are set and discussed with the successful applicant, says Briggs.
