The producers of the lesbian web series Pot Luck have secured $100,000 from NZ On Air’s Digital Fund to allow second season to be created. A considerable success during the first season, with over 900,000 views across the six episodes, ‘Pot Luck’ is described as a “fresh, fun and sexy” comedy, set in Wellington and exploring the lives of three friends. This is the first funding the show has received from NZ on Air. The initial season was funded through a ‘Boosted’ crowd funding campaign, arts funding and private investment. Pot Luck's writer and director, Ness, is “stoked” by the NZ on Air funding which will give the Pot Luck team to stretch their previous boundaries and to pay their crew and use of equipment, though they’ll still be relying on the generosity of their many sponsors, supporters. Alongside the NZ On Air funding Pot Luck has been given contributions from Wellington City Council’s Arts and Culture fund and key sponsor Hell Pizza. Ness says plans for the second season are underway and the team behind the show are hoping to shoot and deliver the second season mid- to late-2017
