Donations to LGBTI youth made in Tamaki’s name

Fri 18 Nov 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Donations to RainbowYOUTH in the name of Brian Tamaki have been filtering in following the self appointed Bishop’s comments that gay people are the cause of earthquakes. RainbowYOUTH Communications and Operations Manager, Toni Duder says “We're really amazed by the support shown in the past 48 hours since Bishop Tamaki's comments. “Donating is a great way to turn negative messages into positive action.” Duder says while Tamaki is the leader of Destiny Church “It’s important to acknowledge the work that some of our religious communities do with and for the rainbow community. “We encourage young rainbow people of faith to get in touch with us so we can help them connect to a church who will embrace them regardless of their gender, sex or sexuality diversity.” Donations to RainbowYOUTH can be made through their website.
