Hudson and Halls opens this week in Wellington

Fri 11 Nov 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

The magic of Hudson and Halls is coming to Wellington this coming week, with live Christmas special taking to the stage.   Peter Hudson and David Halls Following a sold-out season in Auckland Hudson and Halls Live!, co-created by Kip Chapman, will be running at Hannah Playhouse from November 16 through to December 10. Chapman and Chris Parker play much loved television cooks, Peter Hudson and David Halls. The couple's camp, slapstick cooking series ran on from 1976 until 1986 and the show promises much of what made it a success - a lot of laughs, rum and questionable cooking. Hudson and Halls were New Zealand's original gay love story, ending in tragedy with Halls taking his own life in 1993, the year after Hudson died of cancer. Tickets are available here.
