Trump's VP has history of anti-glbti views

Wed 9 Nov 2016 In: International News View at Wayback View at NDHA

US Vice President-elect Mike Pence Although US President-elect Donald Trump has had comparatively little to say for or against glbti equality his running mate has over the years been vociferously anti-glbti. Conservative Christian Mike Pence, who will now become the American Vice President, believes being glbti is a personal choice and has said that gay couples signal societal collapse. He has opposed laws seeking to prohibit anti-glbti discrimination in workplaces and as Governor of Indiana state he wrote to business-people urging them not to employ gay people. He also opposed the repeal of the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy of the US military which forced glbti people to remain in the closet and fearful of being outed and being court-martialed out of the armed services.
