Gay comedy webseries goes global

Wed 2 Nov 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

Comedy web-series Two Naked Gay Guys has been picked up by two US based LGBTI streaming videos.   Two Naked Gay Guys is a comedy web-series, following two gay guys who meet up for a one-off no strings attacked hook-up, only to find that one time isn’t enough and is written by filmmaker Conan McKegg. Having been selected as a finalist for the special interest category of the NZ Webfest 2016, the series is now available to view on Dekkoo and REVRY, streaming platforms aimed at LGBTI communities. “I wanted to explore how we define relationships in an age where casual hook-ups are becoming the norm,” says McKegg, “although the series is focused on two gay characters, many of its themes are universal. Often we fear committing to relationships, even when we often have little control over when or how they develop.” “We’ve been blown away by the enduring popularity of the series. We have a large US and UK following, with the series having been mentioned on a variety of LGBTI sites and UK’s gay FM radio channel, Gaydio, which has a listening audience of over 500,000 people.” “However the biggest news for us was when we were approached by both REVRY and Dekkoo.con to have the series stream on their Video on Demand services.” You can stream 2NGG's via REVRY and Dekkoo on iTunes and Google play as well as Apple TV.
