Lesbians invited to discuss visibility ahead of Akl Pride

Lesbian identified women are invited to have their say regarding the events they’d like to see during next year’s Auckland Pride Festival.   Facilitator Cissy Rock at the Pride Parade During an event hosted by aLBa and members of the Pride Board Kirsten Sibbit and Julie Swift, lesbian identified women will have an opportunity to connect with the community, create shared messages and to develop ideas for events in an attempt to increase lesbian visibility in at the next Pride Festival. Following the 2015 Auckland Pride Festival, concerns were raised that young lesbian women felt excluded from the Pride Parade. The discussion with be facilitated by Cissy Rock and all lesbian identified women are welcome. Friday 28 October, 6.30 -8pm Grey Lynn Community Centre
