Georgina Beyer signs Ellis petition

Thu 12 Jun 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

The Parliamentary office of Georgina Beyer has confirmed that she has lent her signature to the Peter Ellis petition. Members of the public who wish to sign the petition in support of Peter Ellis and a top-level investigation into his convictions can now do so online, but only signatures received up until June 20 will be eligible. The petition states the Ellis case is "one of great public and professional concern and raises serious questions about the administration of justice and the working of existing laws which must be addressed". The website hosts a downloadable document version of the Ellis petition which can be printed out, signed by up to 15 people, and posted to Parliament free of charge.
