Range of groups benefit from GABA funding

Eight organisations and community projects are to benefit from the latest round of funding from the GABA Charitable Trust, which totals over $12,000. GABA Trust chairperson Richard James is grateful for the support of individuals and companies who helped it to raise money last year, and says the Trust is now seeking support from the community in building funds for next year's round of grants. A full list of grant recipients for 2003 follows: Sandi Goodwin - for the play "Unidentified Human Remains and The True Nature of Love - $1000 Auckland Gay and Lesbian Welfare Group - upgrade phone system and promotional material - $1000 Rainbow Families - hire of facilities and purchase of books and toys - $1200 Auckland PRIDE Centre - purchase of new computer - $1500 Rainbow Youth - reprint of brochure - $1546 Body Positive - print of bi-monthly newsletter - $3000 Auckland Women's Centre - three sexual identity workshops - $1176 Fiona Clark - assist the touring of "Go Girl" photographic exhibition - $2220
