It's official: Wonder Woman is at least bisexual

Fri 30 Sep 2016 In: International News View at Wayback View at NDHA

A writer for DC Comics has confirmed that the iconic comic book, television and movie character Wonder Woman has loved and had relationships with other women, but says the concept of being 'gay' or 'lesbian' isn't applied in her all-women Amazonian homeland. Wonder Woman, created in 1941 following the success of Superman, has long been the subject of speculation and some attacks for her strength and feminist stances. She has even been referred to as 'anti-men' in some tracts addressing the cultural impact of the character. Asked by website Comicosity if Wonder Woman has been in love and had relationships with other women Greg Rucka, the writer who heads the team creating the Wonder Woman comic series, says "the answer is obviously yes.” Last year the character officiated at a same-sex marriage, telling Superman's alter-ego “Clark, my country is all women... To us, it’s not ‘gay’ marriage, it’s just marriage.”
