Sat 24 Sep 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback View at NDHA

RainbowYOUTH is currently seeking applications for a newly created role that serves the Bay of Plenty and Hauraki regions. The Tauranga City based Regional Coordinator role is the first situated outside of RainbowYOUTH’s Central Auckland base and is the result of funding made available through the Ministry of Social Development. Identified as key areas of growth, the organisation say there is a clear need for support for large numbers of the young queer and gender diverse people living in the region. The Regional Coordinator will need to be self motivated and have a passion to see young queer and gender diverse people in the Bay of Plenty and Hauraki regions being happy and healthy, as well as a natural ability to mentor and interest in seeing young people supported to achieve. The successful applicant will connect and network with other organisations that work for youth in your region, such as schools, health services and marae - making sure as many of those people and organisations as possible are able to access RainbowYOUTH resources, information and support.
