Indonesia to censor LGBTI websites and apps

Gay websites and apps including Grindr will soon be blocked by the Indonesian government.   Pro-LGBTI activists in Indonesia In an attempt to crackdown on “gay propaganda” requested by the police, the Communications Ministry told AFP that the apps would be blocked as they were “promoting gay lifestyles”. LGBTI news outlets will also be blocked according to Buzzfeed, who report that more than 80 zoos and websites will fall under the censorship crackdown. Websites with LGBTI content are already blocked in China and the United Arab Emirates.
