Mon 12 Sep 2016 In: International News View at Wayback View at NDHA

American actress and trans activist Alexis Arquette has died, aged 47, surrounded by family. She appeared in the movies Buffy the Vampire Slayer,  Pulp Fiction, two Adam Sandler movies and Bride of Chucky. She also appeared in several TV series episodes including Friends. In Last Exit to Brooklyn she portrayed a transvestite. Arquette also had a role in the Xena: Warrior Princess series as Roman emperor Caligula. Her transition was captured in a documentary, Alexis Arquette: She's my brother. She was also a talented cartoonist. No cause of death has been made public but her brother has posted, in wording that variously refers to Arquette as she, he and he/she, that she died surrounded by her brothers and sisters on her own terms.
