Thu 5 Jun 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

UK-based New Zealander Warwick Powell, with the approval of his doctor, is exclusively treating his HIV+ condition via an alternative therapy centre which requires meditation in special rooms for up to twelve hours per day, seven days a week. Powell, the subject of a documentary screening on UK TV this week, has given up full-time work to spend his days at the Energy Bank, which charges $30 per hour for use of its rooms. The Energy Bank have promised Powell that he should see a significant T-cell improvement after a five month treatment, which will cost him around $90,000.
