Spanish Police have arrested a man in Barcelona who was trying to plan a mass shooting of gay people. The 36-year-old man had been posting videos on social media and using Twitter to call for people to commit hate crimes against gay groups. In one of the 31 videos he had posted within the last month, the man told those watching that they had 13 days “to prepare” for a LGBTI celebration in Barcelona before the attack. He was also in possession of a pistol that was able to fire blanks and this was a feature in his videos. It is unclear which specific LGBTI celebration the man was referring to, Nownextnow reports that it is soon to be Bear Week in Sitges, 45 minutes from Barcelona. The man now faces between one and four years in prison.
