Bar owner "not guilty" of drug/sex allegations

Sat 31 May 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

47-year-old Auckland gay restaurant owner Philip Sturm has pleaded not guilty to charges of drugs and sexual offending at the conclusion of hearings in the Auckland District Court. The charges arise out of allegations by young men that he engaged in sex with them after inducing them to take recreational drugs. Sturm has been committed for trial at the High Court in July, and has been remanded on bail.
