ASB’s Unity Group held a panel on diversity and inclusivity today in celebration of Wear It Purple Day, a youth led day started in Australia that is aimed at empowering rainbow young people. Louisa Wall and Toni Duder ASB staff participated in Wear It Purple Day today and the bank’s Unity Group hosted a panel at their North Wharf Centre consisting of Toni Duder from RainbowYOUTH, Labour MP Louisa Wall and Michael Stevens from The Rainbow Tick. “We discussed different strategies for making workplaces and communities diverse and inclusive, and shared experiences from our own lives and work around the issues facing the rainbow community,” says Duder. The ASB Bank was awarded the Positive Inclusion Award by Diversity Awards NZ earlier this week. Duder says “It was great to speak with the team at ASB and explore ways that allies and co-workers can help make happy and safe working environments for all employees.”
