One of the longest-standing gay bars in London will be closing its doors after over 50 years in business.   The Queen’s Head on Tryon Street in Chelsea shared the news with its punters on Facebook and says “Unfortunately it’s true, the Old Lady of Tryon Street will be closing her doors for the last time on 6 September. “We’ve been unable to come to reasonable terms for renewal of the lease on the building with our landlords and therefore we’ll be shutting up shop. “The Queens Head will be back in some form or another but the place that we all know and love will cease to be.” The pub is operated by the Stonegate Pub Company who run around 660 venues across the UK, including two other popular gay bars.
