LGBTI Christian conference offers safe space

A new conference aims to provide LGBTI Christians a safe space to network and worship, with seminar sessions hoping to educate pastors on the issues around sexuality and Christianity. The Awaken conference will cover topics such as “How to parent an LGBT Christian”, “Nativating LGBT relationships”, “Discover our Trans* tribe”, “Taking care of your mental health and emotional health”, coming out and a theological discussion about sexuality and identity. Speakers are yet to be announced but the conference is to be held at All Saints Church on Ponsonby Road this Labour Weekend. Check out the conference Facebook page here.
