Christchurch celebrated 30 years of Homosexual Law Reform with a night of community spirit and fabulous entertainment. “An amazing night had by all who attended with a large and diverse crowd at both the dinner and the dance,” says co-organiser Aaron Comis. “Just like HLR itself 30 years ago, the night incorporated multiple parts of the rainbow community, as well as straight allies.” The dinner brought 100 people together, with an additional 150 people turning up for the dance. Those who attended were treated to speeches from law reform heroes such as Bill Logan and got a glimpse of the much awaited history project. A “fairy tale like” night for all lead into the dance with performance from local drag acts.
