Wed 20 Jul 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

A new tennis tournament to be held in Tasmania is calling for LGBTI players to register their interest.   The doubles only tennis tournament will be held in Hobart, Tasmania on 27th and 28th January 2017 and is sanctioned by the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA), an international organisation that co-ordinates a series of tennis events across the globe for the LGBTI community. Organiser Hendry Lukman says “The tournament is expected to attract quite a few interstate and international players. “In addition, there will be a player party after the tournament at a local pub on Saturday night from 7pm, mainly for players to mingle after the tournament and also watch the Australian Open Women's final together.” You can register your interest at the GLTA World Tour website and check out the Hobart Out Tennis Facebook page for more information.
