Tue 6 May 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

Gay Sydney will soon entertain and inform Aucklanders every Thursday when Triangle Television screens Sydney's first gay and lesbian television show DV8. The programme examines lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered culture including segments on sport, travel, history, community issues and club culture. As well, DV8 will feature queer short films, animations and music videos. Presented by former Big Brother stars Johnnie Cass and Sahra Kearney, the lifestyle show will go to air in Auckland every Thursday at 9pm The lifestyle programme, featuring an eclectic mix of segments and roving guest reporters, proved to be a huge hit in its home town when it screened in Sydney last year and is expected to be equally as successful here. Triangle also intends screening the 2003 series of DV8 just as soon as it goes to air in Sydney later this year. DV8 producer Craig Payne, who is known for producing successful community events, credits the polished production of DV8 to a team of hardworking and talented volunteers. DV8 will air every Thursday on Triangle Television at 9.00pm.
