1 in 4 Kiwi women attracted to same sex

Wed 16 Apr 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

Twenty five percent of New Zealand women are attracted to other women but only eleven percent of NZ men admit to experiencing same-sex attractions, according to an Otago University study. Despite those figures only two percent of the one thousand people taking part in the study said they are only, or more often, attracted to the same sex. 36% of men thought gay male sex is always or mostly wrong but only 17% felt the same about lesbian sex. About 20% of women felt that gay or lesbian sex is always or mostly wrong.
