Bowling organisation hands out profits

Mon 7 Apr 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

$14,000 proceeds from last October's International Gay Bowling Tournament, held in Auckland, have been distributed mostly to gay organisations. The biggest single amount, $4,000, has been given by the Auckland Gay Bowling Organisation to the GABA Charitable Trust which will disburse the money through its usual grants process. Other grants include $1,000 to the Brett Sheppard Memorial Sports Fund, $3,000 to Herne Bay House, $3,000 to The Women's Refuge, $2,500 to The Quilt Project, and $500 to the Bruce Burnett Wellness Fund.
