MP Rodney Hide has now been asked to apologise or face legal action after claims he questioned a man's sexuality during an ACT party function on Waiheke Island. Human Resources Manager Bruce Woodcock has hired a lawyer to take his case against Hide, who he believes has defamed him by questioning his sexuality. Woodcock reportedly has no problem with gay people, and says his action is being taken because of comments Hide made in the Herald newspaper. Hide has declined to comment.
