PM not sure that shooting attack was homophobic

Tue 14 Jun 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Prime Minister is not convinced the Orlando massacre was a homophobic attack, a position the leader of the oppositions is at odds with. Speaking to RNZ News prime Minister Key said there is not yet enough information available to be able to form an opinion as to whether it was a homophobic attack. However, Labour leader Andrew Little says the gunman, who killed 49 patrons of the gay Pulse bar in Orlando two days ago, "clearly had difficulty accepting people's right to their own sexuality." Little said it was it was equally clear that the gunman specifically targeted a venue packed with glbti people.
