Kiwi DJ a hit at Sydney Mardi Gras

Tue 11 Mar 2003 In: New Zealand Daily News

Sydney Mardi Gras organisers have asked gay kiwi DJ Karl Moser to return for a gig at next year's Sydney Mardi Gras party. Moser, who had to fund his own trip to Sydney to perform free of charge for the troubled Mardi Gras event, was the only non-Australian DJ to DJ the party. The 36-year old Auckland-based DJ is also tentatively booked for another big Sydney Party and has attracted the attention of a group of Melbourne party promoters. Mardi Gras Party co-chair Michael Woodhouse says the party declared a profit of $350,000 which will be used to secure future Mardi Gras events.
