First AKL Pride hui this Saturday

Tue 24 May 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

Auckland Pride Festival is hosting the first of two community hui this weekend, giving the public an opportunity to share their feedback following on from this year’s festival.   On Saturday members of the public are invited to Studio One Toi Tū in Ponsonby to not only share feedback but to hear about the organisation’s future plans. Auckland Pride Festival Co Chair Kirsten Sibbit says “The importance of the hui is to give the community an opportunity to be heard, to tell us what they think and to have access to the people delivering an event which we believe is important to the community. We value openness and transparency and this is one way of being able to deliver that. Sibbit says the hui will cover this years event “as well as our plans and progress for next year. “We also will be answering questions and are keen to hear from the community on their views,” she says.
