Tue 22 Mar 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at NDHA

Lady Poets is poetry like you’ve never seen it before, subverting norms and throwing in a few laughs and a lot of ridiculous antics. Celebrating Christchurch Pride Festival this evening Lady Poets brings you ‘The Struggle is Real’. Featuring Wellington drag king Hugo Grrrl as MC, this will be the third year Lady Poets have taken part in Christchurch Pride, dishing up local poetic talent. LGBTI or not, everyone is invited to this unique night of performance. An R18 event, The Struggle is Real will cost you $5 cash on the door and organisers say the new venue, Space Academy, has unisex toilets. The Struggle is Real 22 march, 7.30pm - 10pm Space Academy, Christchurch
