Board Games night may become regular event

Wed 9 Mar 2016 In: New Zealand Daily News View at Wayback

The Monday night Pride On Board games night hosted by Wellington LGBTI youth organisation InsideOUT was deemed a success and a regular games night may now be on the cards.   With a packed house, the games night raised over $200 for the youth organisation and was deemed a great start to the week. InsideOUT National Coordinator Tabby Besley says; “It was a really nice start to Pride Week with lots of friendly people and more board games than there were tables! “There was discussion about whether the community would be interested in a regular LGBTQIA+ games night, so maybe that's something that Wellington will see in the future! We'd love to see more groups and activities that are outside of bars.” The group would like to thank the sponsors that helped to make the night a success, including; the venue Preservatorium Cafe and Cannery and all the businesses that sponsored prizes for those who won games throughout the evening: Unity Books, Arty Bee's Books, Blue Ilusion, Lush, Clockwork Steampunk Emporium, Graphic Action, Emporium and Caffeinated Dragon.
