Following a busy weekend kicking off the first ever Wellington Pride Festival | | Tū whakahīhī e Te Whanganui-ā-Tara, the festival is having a quieter day today with the festivities continuing tomorrow. Those in the capital can head along to Pride on Board this evening from 6-10pm at Preservatorium Cafe for a cosy and relaxing board games night open to everyone. A fundraising event for InsideOUT and hosted by the group, Board games and instructors will be provided and there will also be competition games to enter if you dare. Tomorrow’s Pride Picnic at Parliament will be the highlight of many people’s inner city lunch breaks, from 12 - 2pm on the Parliament Lawns. The picnic is a chance to celebrate Homosexual Law Reform’s 30th anniversary as part of the Pride Festival. For those unable to join in the festivities until the evening, the Beach Out at Princess Bay is your chance to celebrate with a social summer evening at the beach from 6pm. As the beach is a marine reserve, no dogs or fires will be permitted.
