The Auckland Pride Festival Board are seeking two new members, following the resignation of Co-Chair Vinnie Sykes and Board member Paul Patton. The Board is particularly welcoming applications from individuals with a background in finance, communications/marketing, sponsorship and commercial partnerships or event management, to replace the skills of the outgoing Board members. “We are always on the lookout for fresh ideas and a new perspective, so if you are keen to be involved, feel you have something to offer and are excited to be part of making the Auckland Pride Festival the best it can be, the Board wants to hear from you,” says Co-Chair Kirsten Sibbit. “The Board is looking for enthusiastic, positive people who are prepared to dedicate some time and effort to the governance of the Pride.Festival. We don't have a view about what these people should be like - we want to have a diverse Board that is committed to providing a Festival for the community.” The Auckland Pride Board is comprised of seven members and new members will join; Shirley Allan, Kirsten Sibbit, Phylesha Brown-Acton, Richard James and Julie Swift. The term of office is initially three years from March 2016 and those interested are asked to send a detailed CV and covering letter to: chair@aucklandpridefestival.org.nz by Friday 11 March 2016.
