Several new entrants have appeared on the list of floats and entries taking part in tomorrow's Auckland Pride Parade which heads down Ponsonby Road from 6pm. Uber, Grey Lynn Tyreworx, Xero, Fletcher Building, Platform 4 Security and the Southern Stars Steel Band will be amongst almost 50 entries confirmed for the parade. Previous glbti-community based crowd favourites to march again include Raglan Surfers, Farmers and Assorted Strays, the Marching Boys, Dykes on Bikes and Bear New Zealand. Other floats will mark thirty years since Homosexual Law Reform and the usual range of political parties will have a presence. Banks will be well-represented with the BNZ, Westpac and ANZ all marching, as will the NZ Defence Force, the Police, St John Ambulance and the Department of Corrections. GLBTI community service organisations to have a presence include the NZ AIDS Foundation, Body Positive, Rainbow Youth, Auckland Rainbow Community Church and UniQ Waikato. One float sure to make a big splash is this year's Coca Cola entry which will feature over sixty staff and a giant rainbow heart. Coca Cola was an early recipient of the Rainbow Tick accreditation.
